    • A fan system including a motor with a coil, a storage unit, a driver, and a buffer circuit is provided. The coil module has a first connection terminal and a second connection terminal. The storage unit electrically couples with a voltage source, stores electrical energy when the voltage source is available, and releases the stored electrical energy to carry out a brake operation when the voltage source is unavailable. The driver electrically couples with the first and second connection terminals of the coil module to control a direction of an inductor current passing through the coil module. The buffer circuit electrically couples with the coil module. In the brake operation, the buffer circuit operates to form a transient potential between the first and second connection terminals of the coil module and to consume electrical energy of the inductor current, for gradually stopping the motor in a buffering time period.

    • A PWM motor drive circuit includes a drive IC member, a PWM converter circuit and a potential limiter. The drive IC member electrically connects with a motor coil and further includes a pin electrically connected with the PWM converter circuit. The potential limiter has a first terminal electrically connected with a point between the pin of the drive IC member and the PWM converter circuit, and a second terminal electrically connected with a power source to supply an initial voltage to the pin of the drive IC member via the potential limiter. When the motor starts, the potential limiter can adjust of the initial voltage supplying to the pin of the drive IC member so that the drive IC member cannot unexpectedly enter a stop or high-speed mode.

    • An optical touch system, an apparatus and a method for calculating the position of an object are provided. The apparatus includes an image sensor and a processing circuit. The processing circuit selects at least one dot from a curve segment of a brightness distribution profile obtained from a background image, wherein the curve segment corresponds to an imaging range of an object. And the processing circuit regards the column pixel brightness value corresponding to the dot as a brightness reference value. Afterwards, the processing circuit calculates brightness difference between the brightness reference value and the column pixel brightness values corresponding to the dots of a curve segment of a brightness distribution profile obtained from a sensed image, so as to further calculate a gravity of the imaging range. After that, the processing circuit regards the gravity as a representative position of the object in the sensed image.
