    • A repeater (1) includes a master unit (2) for communicating with a base station of a mobile network, a plurality of remote units (3) for communicating with mobile communications terminals, and a common optical waveguide (4) connecting the remote units (3) with the master unit (2) for transmitting the optical signals from each of the remote units (3) to the master unit (2). The remote units (3) include, as a transmitter for the optical signals, a laser (7) of a construction similar or somewhat identical to that of the other lasers (7). The lasers (7) have similar or somewhat identical nominal wavelengths (λ N ), and the individual lasers (7) are selected by adjusting their operating temperatures (T B1 - T B4 ) in such a way that each laser transmits on a different transmission wavelength (λ ü1 - λ ü4 ).

    • A mobile testing system for optimizing wireless coverage in a distributed antenna system is disclosed. In some aspects, the mobile testing system includes a measurement receiver that can determine signal levels for a respective signals communicated via the distributed antenna system. A processing device of the mobile testing system can identify a subset of the signals by decoding a respective identifier encoded in each of the subset of signals. The identifiers specify that the subset of signals is targeted to at least one coverage zone in which the mobile testing system is located. A subset of signal levels is obtained by the measurement receiver that corresponds to each of the subset of signals. The processing device can generate coverage contour data based on the subset of signal levels that describes signal coverage for at least one coverage zone.

    • A repeater system (1) comprising a front end section (10) constituted to, in a downlink direction, receive signals from at least one communication source (3, 4, 7, 8, 9) located outside of a coverage area (20) of the repeater system (1) and to, in an uplink direction, transmit signals to the at least one communication source (3, 4, 7, 8, 9). The repeater system further comprises a back end section (13, 14) constituted to, in the downlink direction, transmit an RF communication signal into the coverage area (20) and to, in the uplink direction, receive an RF communication signal out of the coverage area (20). Herein, in the downlink direction the front end section (10) combines multiple signals from multiple communication sources (3, 4, 7, 8, 9) into a combined signal and to transmit the combined signal to the back end section (13, 14), wherein the back end section (13, 14) produces, from the combined signal, the RF communication signal for transmission into the coverage area (20). In the uplink direction the back end section (13, 14) produces, from a received RF communication signal, a combined signal, wherein the front end section (10) produces multiple signals from the combined signal received from the back end section (13, 14) for transmission to the multiple communication sources (3, 4, 7, 8, 9). By these means a repeater system is provided which may provide an approved coverage in a coverage area with the potential of high data rates for communication links in that coverage area.
