    • PURPOSE: A highly heat resistant PMC (Phenol Moulding Compound) composite material for bobbin and its preparation process are provided, which material employs a coupling agent-treated inorganic filler and is improved in the heat resistance, the size stability and the strength. CONSTITUTION: The PMC composite material comprises 100 parts by weight of a novolac phenol resin as a main binder; 125 parts by weight of an inorganic filler whose surface is treated with a coupling agent which is 3% γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane; 10-15 parts by weight of a curing accelerator; and 3 parts by weight of a releasing agent. Preferably the inorganic filler is selected from the group consisting of agalmatolite, talc, calcium hydroxide, kaolin, and lime stone; and a monolayer s formed on the surface of the inorganic filler by the treatment of a coupling agent.
