    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead member for a non-aqueous electrolyte power storage device which easily removes an insulating coating and has a stable electrical contact surface, and also to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A lead member for a non-aqueous electrolyte power storage device is formed by pasting an insulation resin film 5 on both conductor surfaces so as to protrude from both sides of the conductor width in an intermediate region of a flat conductor on which an electrically-insulating coating 7 is formed by surface treatment. Out of a conductor portion to which the insulation resin film 5 is not stuck and which is exposed, at least a part of a coating of the conductor portion exposing to outside of a nonaqueous electrolyte device is removed by laser irradiation and used as a coating removal surface 8a.

A value of the thickness of the conductor is 0.05 mm or more but 0.2 mm or less, a value of the width of the conductor is 2 mm or more but 7 mm or less, and a value of the thickness of the nickel plated layer is 2.5 μm or more but 5.0 μm or less.

After the insulation resin films are stuck, a tensile strength of the aluminum foil is 85 N/mmor more. After the insulation resin films are stuck, the aluminum foil has breaking elongation of 15% or more and contains iron of 1.2 to 1.7 wt.% more than the prior arts. The thickness of the aluminum foil is 0.05 to 0.5 mm.
