    • A diagnostic system (10) particularly though not exclusively for use in an engine management system is provided for generating a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) to indicate the operational status of a component or sub-system which is being evaluated by the diagnostic system. The diagnostic system includes a diagnostic function module (DF Module) (20, 20', 20") for each DTC or a group of related DTCs associated with a component or sub-system. The DF module including device (22) for executing an evaluation routine to evaluate the operational status of a component or sub-system to which the DTC of the specific DF module relates, and a diagnostic function scheduler (DF scheduler)(30) for determining which DF module may be allowed to execute an evaluation routine ant a particular time. Each DF module (20, 20', 20") includes device (22) for producing a ranking value dependent on the operating status of the component or sub-system being evaluated, a ranking value being generated each time an evaluation routine is performed; device (23) for processing and storing statistical results of the ranking values obtained over a number of evaluation routines; device (23) for evaluating the statistical results to produce evaluated data in the form of either an evaluated no-fault signal or an evaluated fault signal, and device (24) for transmitting the evaluated signals to the DF scheduler (30).

    • A cooling system for a vehicle includes a first cooling circuit coupled to the vehicle engine for cooling the latter and a pump arranged in the first cooling circuit for pumping a coolant to the engine. The system further includes a second cooling circuit for cooling at least one other component in the vehicle, and an arrangement for coupling the second cooling circuit into the first cooling circuit in order to also supply the second cooling circuit with coolant from the pump. The cooling system further includes a line coupled from the first cooling circuit to the second cooling circuit bypassing the coupling means so that the second cooling circuit is supplied with coolant from the pump via the bypass line even when the coupling means is set to the disconnected position.

    • A container closure of the so-called spout type comprises a female element and a male element. The female element is attachable to a flexible container wall section, and the male element is attachable to an opposite wall portion, such that a container, for instance a four sided edge sealed pouch of the giant size type, is closable by arranging the female element and the male element in a sealing engagement for forming a closure. An axially operating arrangement for providing relative axial movement between the male and female elements, for instance of the bayonet type is arranged for providing an axial or relative movement of the female and male elements, such that an axial sealing ring will be compressed. The sealing of such ring may be supplemented by the sealing effect obtained by means of the ribs and grooves of the device. As a further specific feature the seal may include bacteria killing material, for instance of the ZEOLIT-type. According to a further aspect of this invention a device is sealed gas and vapour tight, against the female element and forms a barrier layer, such that a buffert space is formed between the barrier layer and the male element, said buffert space being highly sterilizable, for instance by gamma radiation, together with the rest of the container.
