摘要： A computing device is connected to a measurement machine. The measurement machine measures an object to obtain images of measured elements of the object by using a measurement program. The computing device divides the measurement program into two or more program segments. An icon for each program segment is generated according to a type of the program segment. The computing device generates a title state and an opened state for each program segment. If a program segment is in the title state, the icon, a name, and a first line of program codes of the program segment is displayed on an interface provided by the electronic device. If the program segment is in the opened state, the computing device displays all program codes of the program segment on the interface.

The computing device generates a tree structure to display all of the measured elements. Icons at nodes of the tree structure are generated corresponding to the measured elements. If a cursor points to a particular node of the tree structure, the computing device determines a coordinate range in which the cursor falls. An icon corresponding to the node is determined as being the icon selected according to the range. The computing device displays a measurement program corresponding to the icon.

The point cloud includes points of the product. The method aligns the curved surface of the product with the corresponding portion of the point cloud using a best-fit method, creates a maximum space box for a feature element of the product, and deletes points that are not within the maximum space box. According to an average distance between two neighboring points of the point cloud, the maximum space box can be divided into many small space boxes. Using the small space boxes, the points are filtered to form a feature element.
