    • A guider for conveying a sheet-shaped object comprises two side plates (13, 14); two wheel components (7, 11) arranged in parallel between the two side plates (13, 14), a top channel plate (9) being disposed on the wheel components; and two side channel components (10, 8) disposed between the two wheel components (7, 11) and the top channel plate (9), the two side channel components (10, 8) forming a horizontal channel with the top channel plate (9), and each forming a lateral channel with the wheel component at the same side, two ends of the side channel component being respectively hinged on the two side plates (13, 14). The guider further comprises two swing plates (6, 17) respectively fixedly disposed on the two side channel components (10, 8); a first driving device for driving the two swing plates (6, 17) to swing; a reversing member (19) hinged between the two lateral channels and used for switch between the two lateral channels; and a second driving device for driving the reversing member (19) to swing. The guider for conveying a sheet-shaped object of the present invention simplifies the structure of the guider, and meanwhile reduces the manufacturing cost of the guider.

    • A computer vision inspection system disclosed for use in inspecting of rotary parts like pulley gear or bearing product with internal slots or rails to determine the fabrication quality of the functional dimension of the slots or rails with the help of inspection balls (11) and ball followers (43). The apparatus includes a vision system with camera (30), lens (32), lighting (35), control computer, the image capturing and imaging processing computer program, and the fixture (40) and jig system for the rotary parts and inspection balls (11) and ball followers (43) to ensure the inspection balls are fully engaged into the ball slots (12) or ball rail of the part during inspection. When the checking balls and followers are well engaged to the ball slot or rail of the rotary part, vision image of the inspecting field covering the rotary part and the checking ball or probe, and the fiducial mark (22) on the ball follower (43) or probe head, is captured and transferred to computer program, and then doing the image processing of the captured image to calculate out the functional dimension for the part inspected. The calculated functional dimension value for each part is further recorded into a computer database or factory information system and present into a graph and comparing to the top and bottom limit for easy product quality control.

    • A transflective liquid crystal display device. A first substrate having viewing and peripheral areas is provided. The viewing area comprises transmissive and reflective regions. A backlight device is disposed under the first substrate, used to provide a backlight passing through the transmissive region. A power management controller connects the backlight device to control an intensity of the backlight. At least one photodetector is formed on the first substrate in the peripheral area, wherein the photodetector detects an intensity of ambient light above the first substrate, and then provides a corresponding signal to the power management controller to control the intensity of the backlight. According to the invention, the intensity of the backlight automatically becomes greater when the intensity of the ambient light becomes lower, and the intensity of the backlight automatically becomes lower when the intensity of the ambient light becomes greater.
