摘要： The invention relates to a brake pad (1) having a wear indicator (5). The brake pad (1) has a first bore (20) opening out into the braking face (4) of the friction lining (2), a second bore (22) opening out into the first bore (20) and into the edge (23) of the lining, and a slot (24) which extends between the first bore (20), the second bore (22), the edge (23), and the braking face (4). The indicator (5) comprises a pellet (6) adapted to the first bore (20), a sleeve (14) slidably mounted on the conductors (12a, 12b) of the indicator (5) and urged against the pellet (6) by a resilient sheath (16) that bears against the connection terminal (15) of the indicator (5). The diameter of the sleeve (14) is substantially equal to the diameter of the second bore (22). The slot (24) serves to pass the conductor wires (12a, 12b) during installation of the indicator (5) on the brake pad (1), after the sleeve (14) has been moved away from the pellet (6).

摘要： A method for forming odd-shaped mufflers is achieved by first introducing an unfilled muffler insert (52) having a desired number of pipes (18) and partitions (14a-c) within a two-piece shaped tool (50). Fibrous material (24) is introduced within desired compartments (16a-d) formed between the shaped tool and unfilled insert to form a filled insert (70). The shaped tool and filled insert are then placed on a winding device (100). A yarn thread (26) is then wound and secured around the fibrous material within a gap (175) created between the two pieces of the shaped tool. The winding device and shaped tool are then removed from the filled and wound muffler insert (71). The wound and filled muffler insert may then either be pressed into a previously formed muffler shell (12), or alternatively, the muffler shell may be formed around the wound and filled muffler insert to form the muffler (15).

摘要： Milk is carbonated (at 1) with pressurized CO2, then transferred, at a pressure greater than 2 MPa by a pump (9) to a heat treatment line (10) where it is heated for at least 4 minutes to a temperature of 60-100°C (at 11-12), whereafter it is cooled (at 13-14) and depressurized prior to the separation (at 15-16) of the coagulum and the serum. A coagulum of textured milk proteins having remarkable viscoelastic properties is thereby obtained. The method and apparatus are suitable for use in the food processing industry.
