    • Provided is an oil separator for a reciprocating compressor having an insulation function, the compressor including: a housing, a cylinder block having a plurality of cylinder bores, pistons reciprocally accommodated in the cylinder bores, a piston drive means for driving the pistons, a piston connection shaft connected to the pistons, a valve apparatus installed opposite to bottoms of the pistons and having suction ports and discharge ports, and a suction chamber and a discharge chamber formed at the housing with the valve apparatus interposed therebetween, characterized in that the oil separator includes: an inner recess having a gas discharge port; a peripheral recess formed around the inner recess and in fluid communication with the discharge port; and an oil discharge port for communicating the inner recess with the exterior, wherein the oil separator is installed in the discharge chamber. Therefore, it is possible to increase efficiency of the compressor and maintain durability by separating oil from coolant introduced into the discharge chamber. In addition, coolant sucked from the suction chamber is not thermally affected by coolant discharged through the discharge port to maintain high volume efficiency of the compressor.

    • Provided is a housing integrated with an oil separating structure for a reciprocating compressor including a housing having a suction chamber and a discharge chamber, a cylinder block coupled with the housing and having a plurality of cylinder bores, pistons reciprocally accommodated in the cylinder bores, piston drive means for driving the pistons, and a valve apparatus opposite to bottoms of the pistons and having a suction port and a discharge port in communication with the suction chamber and the discharge chamber, characterized in that: the oil separating structure has an inner recess having a gas discharge port formed at its bottom, a peripheral recess formed around the inner recess and in communication with the discharge chamber, and an oil discharge port in communication with the inner recess in a circulation manner, which are integrally formed with each other; and the discharge chamber rather than the suction chamber is disposed adjacent to a center thereof. Therefore, since the oil is separated from the coolant introduced into the discharge chamber and reused, it is possible to increase efficiency and maintain durability of the compressor. In addition, since the oil separating structure is integrally formed with the housing, there is no need to provide a separate component for separating oil, and the housing can be readily formed to reduce manufacturing cost.

    • Provided are a mechanism spring and a swash plate type compressor employing the same. The mechanism spring includes: a flat part having an insert groove formed at one side and into which a drive shaft is inserted, and two extension plates formed at both sides of the insert groove; a curved support part having two support plates disposed opposite to the two extension plates of the flat part, and bent toward the flat part in a convex manner when seen from a side view; and a curved connection part having two curved connection plates for connecting one ends of the two extension plates of the flat part to one ends of the two support plates of the curved support part. Therefore, it is possible to improve initial working performance of a compressor driven at a minimum inclination angle during operation of an air conditioner, and readily absorb shock due to rapid variation to the minimum inclination angle of the swash plate in a compression process during non-operation of the air conditioner. In addition, it is possible to readily perform their assembly and simplify the structure. Further, it is possible to prevent friction noise due to slide contact during operation of the compressor by securely fixing the mechanism spring to the drive shaft.

Therefore, it is possible to appropriately distribute the pressure of oil to prevent oil leakage to the coolant supply passage, etc., even when the pressure of the oil discharged through the oil discharge passage is high. Further, the branch passages and the connecting passage have a specific shape to enable smooth flow of the oil.
