摘要： A flake mixture for spraying onto a surface to be coated, the flake mixture comprising a volatile liquid medium and a flake pigment dispersed within said liquid medium, the weight percentage of flake being between 0.002% and 0.15%. A method is also provided the method comprising the steps of: providing an object having a surface to be coated; preparing the surface to be coated by applying a gloss basecoat layer; curing said basecoat layer; providing a flake mixture, flake mixture comprising a volatile liquid medium and a flake pigment dispersed within said liquid medium, the weight percentage of flake being between 0.0002% and 0.15% spraying onto said surface the flake mixture; curing the flake mixture; applying over said flake layer a lacquer layer; and curing said lacquer layer.

摘要： The invention provides an apparatus (10) for producing a film ( 2, 70, 170, 270, 370, 470 ) having a tear guiding region ( 72, 172, 272, 372, 472 ). The apparatus includes an extrusion apparatus adapted, in use, to force an extrudable material (8) through a die (14) along an extrusion axis to form an extrudate film. The extrusion apparatus having means for forming a tear guiding region in a film extruded therefrom such that the film comprises at least one primary region (74, 76) and at least one tear guiding region. The means for forming a tear guiding region being adapted such that the tear guiding region has a lower cross sectional area of extrudate than the primary region such that a force applied transverse to the extrusion axis results in a higher stress in the tear guiding region than in the primary region such that a tear in the film will preferentially propagate along the tear guiding region. The invention also provides a method of producing such a film and an extruded film .

摘要： The invention relates to method of forming a prefabricated block. The method comprises the steps of: a. providing a mould. The mould has side walls and a first mould face which includes a pattern of sealing protrusions. The pattern of sealing protrusions defines a plurality of load sites; b. providing a plurality of inclusion members, each inclusion member has a display face defined by a periphery; c. loading the inclusion members into the load sites of the mould such that display face of the inclusion members is adjacent the first mould face and sealing protrusions substantially surround the periphery of the display face; d. retaining the inclusion members in the load sites and forming a seal between the sealing protrusions and the inclusion member; e. pouring a matrix into the mould. The matrix is prevented from reaching the display face by the seal; f. curing the matrix such that the inclusion members are bound into the cured matrix and are retained in the predetermined pattern to form a prefabricated block; and g. removing the prefabricated block from the mould.

摘要： A fabric sleeve in the form of a strip of material having compatible attachment members along its lateral edges, is applied to a cable by a device located at a site where the cable can be introduced into a conduit. The device includes a beam carried by a post. The beam carries a plurality of formers which receive the sleeve and the cable from rolls and which progressively fold the sleeve around the cable. The beam also carries an attachment device which receives the sleeve and cable from the formers and which connects the attachment members of the sleeve to confine the cable therein. The attachment device can be opened so that the sleeved cable can be removed. The device is operated at the site until the sleeved cable reaches a downstream installation site and the process is repeated at that downstream site.
