摘要： Irregular denier polyester filament is prepd. from several polymer melts transported at different speed. The melt is converged below the surface of the yarning nozzle; the speed and angle of the converging stream and selected so that the first stream may be transported more slowly, and be transported straight to the position where it contacts the second stream for the first time. The second stream moves faster to the position where it forms a bent loop. The second stream contacts with the first one on a straight-lined loop through the first stream elongation; and the resulting complex stream is quenched to produce the filaments.

摘要： Disclosed is a method to manufacture high purity acetic acid. Although described in relation to that produced by a low water carbonylation process the present invention is applicable to other mechanisms for production of acetic acid which results in formation of permanganate reducing compounds such as acetaldehyde, propionic acid, and alkyl iodide impurities in intermediate process streams. It has been found that permanganate reducing compounds and alkyl iodides may be conveniently removed from a light phase of an intermediate stream in the reaction process by employing a multiple distillation process coupled with an optional extraction of acetaldehyde. The distillation process involves first distilling a light phase to concentrate the permanganate reducing compounds, and in particular the acetaldehyde, and then separating the permanganate reducing compounds and alkyl iodides in a second distillation tower. The second distillation serves to remove the permanganate reducing compounds and alkyl iodides from methyl iodide, methyl acetate, and methanol mixture. As an optional third step, the twice distilled stream may be directed to an extractor to remove any remaining quantities of methyl iodide from the aqueous acetaldehyde stream to obtain acetic acid as a final product in greater than 99 % purity.

The fiber networks are made from textile fabrics that have projections and optional depressions which are compressible and return to their original shape after being compressed. 摘要： A method for producing 5-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)hydantoin by first anhydrously mixing 4-hydroxyacetophenone, a C1 to C5 alkyl nitrite, a C5 or less secondary alcohol, and anhydrous hydrogen chloride to form an intermediate; and then reacting the intermediate with urea, water and aqueous concentrated hydrogen chloride to thereby produce 5-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)hydantoin. 摘要： A process for preparing certain halogenated aromatic polyesters having a predetermined molecular weight is provided. Such polyesters are prepared by solution polymerization of an appropriate bisphenol and diacid halide wherein the diacid halide is added to a solution containing the bisphenol until the viscosity of the resulting polymer containing solution reaches a predetermined solution viscosity limit at which time the further addition of diacid halide is terminated. The solution limit is indicative of the attainment of said predetermined molecular weight. The identification of said solution viscosity limit is achieved by a feedback mechanism wherein the viscosity of the polymer containing solution is monitored or sensed during or after the addition of the diacid halide to the bisphenol containing solution.
