The purpose of the present disclosure is to enable tracking of a terminal across base stations even in a case where MAC address randomization is performed.　The present disclosure pertains to a system which collects, from terminals, information to be collected into a data collection unit by using a standardized wireless communication protocol. The terminals each: hold a history of pieces of terminal identification information for identifying the terminal itself; store at least one piece of terminal identification information held in the history of the pieces of terminal identification information, and metadata other than the information to be collected, in an extended area within a control system frame that is prescribed by the wireless communication protocol; and transmit the control system frame to the data collection unit. The data collection unit: holds the histories of the pieces of terminal identification information for the terminals, respectively; reads, when the control system frame is received, the terminal identification information and the metadata from the control system frame; specifies the terminal corresponding to the terminal identification information stored in the control system frame, within the histories of the pieces of terminal identification information being held; and links the metadata stored in the control system frame to the information to be collected of the specified terminal.
