Disclosed is a steel quenching method, characterized in that: in a first stage, a fluid cooling medium is in direct contact, in a fluid blowing mode, with the surface of a steel workpiece which is heated to be AC3 or above, so that the temperature of the steel workpiece is reduced to 250-450℃ within a control duration of 2-6 seconds; in a second stage, the fluid cooling medium is in direct contact with the surface of the steel workpiece in the fluid blowing mode, so that the temperature of the steel workpiece is reduced to 80℃ or below within a control duration of 6-20 seconds. The steel workpiece prepared in the present invention has a tensile strength of 1300-1900 MPa, a yield strength of 1000-1300 MPa, and a Rockwell hardness of 71-76 HRA, and when the steel workpiece has a thickness of 0.7-2.05 mm, the bending angle is greater than or equal to 40°.
