A method for implementing ultra-low emission of a natural gas engine, comprising: using emission control modes of a TWC catalyst (3), an SCR catalyst (5), and an ASC catalyst (6); controlling an in-cylinder air-fuel ratio by using the conversion efficiency of HC and CO in the TWC catalyst (3) as a target, such that the emission of the HC and the CO treated by the TWC catalyst (3) reaches a regulatory limit; and increasing the oxygen concentration of an exhaust gas treated by the TWC catalyst (3), such that the emission of NOx treated by the SCR catalyst (5) reaches the regulatory limit. Further provided is a system for implementing the ultra-low emission of the natural gas engine. In the present application, the TWC catalyst effectively converts the HC and the CO, and the oxygen concentration of the exhaust gas treated by the TWC catalyst is then increased, such that the NOx is effectively converted by the SCR catalyst, thereby implementing the ultra-low emission, and satisfying the regulatory limit.
