A display panel (20) comprises a display substrate (10), the display substrate (10) comprising a substrate (101) and a pixel definition layer (102) arranged on the substrate (101); the pixel definition layer (102) comprises a plurality of pixel definition parts (103) arranged at intervals, an organic light emitting function layer (104) and a second electrochromic layer (108) being arranged in the area spacing between at least some of the pixel definition parts (103); a first electrode (105), a first electrochromic layer (106), and a second electrode (107) are stacked on each organic light emitting function layer (104); the first electrochromic layer (106) produces a colour-changing reaction under the action of the electric field of the first electrode (105) and the second electrode (107); a third electrode (109) is arranged on the side of each second electrochromic layer (108) facing toward the substrate (101), and a fourth electrode (110) is arranged on the side of each second electrochromic layer (108) facing away from the substrate (101); and the second electrochromic layer (108) produces a colour-changing reaction under the action of the electric field of the third electrode (109) and the fourth electrode (110). When the display panel (20) is an always on screen, a voltage is applied to the first electrode (105) and the second electrode (107) so that the first electrochromic layer (106) implements a colour-changing adjustment, and a voltage is applied to the third electrode (109) and the fourth electrode (110) such that the second electrochromic layer (108) implements a colour-changing adjustment, so that the display panel (20) displays a multi-colour state.
