The purpose of the present invention is to provide a charge transfer complex which enables the achievement of a curable resin composition that has an excellent balance between curability and storage stability if used as an epoxy resin curing agent. The present invention provides a charge transfer complex which has an imidazole moiety as an electron donor moiety. This charge transfer complex may be a compound (b) having an electron acceptor moiety, the compound (b) having accepted an electron contained in a compound (a) having an imidazole moiety, or a compound which has an imidazole moiety and an electron acceptor moiety in each molecule, wherein an electron contained in the imidazole moiety has been accepted by the electron acceptor moiety.
