This printed matter comprises: matter to be printed having a surface subjected to printing; an oily ink layer provided on the surface; and an aqueous varnish layer provided so as to cover the oily ink layer, wherein the aqueous varnish layer includes dried matter of emulsion-type aqueous varnish obtained by combining different resins, and is formed thicker than the oily ink layer.
