The invention relates to a method for controlling the sound volume generated by a loudspeaker (HP) in a booth, characterised in that it comprises: - a first step of acquiring sound (Sb) in the booth, - a second step of filtering by cancelling, in the sound (Sb) acquired in the first step, the sound (Sg) generated by the loudspeaker (HP), - a third step of classifying the sound situation (Css) in the booth from the filtered sound (Sn) in the second step, - a fourth step of determining a visual communication intensity (Icv) in the booth, - a fifth step of controlling the sound volume generated by the loudspeaker (HP) according to the classified sound situation (Css) in the third step and the visual communication intensity (Icv) determined in the fourth step.
