The invention relates to a method for producing a nickel zinc cobalt spinel ferrite in ceramic form, comprising the steps of obtaining (1) a precipitate of iron, nickel, zinc and cobalt hydroxides by co-precipitation, rinsing (2) the precipitate, drying and grinding (3) the rinsed precipitate so as to produce a powder, shaping (4) into a compact by pressing the powder, and sintering (5) the compact. The sintering (5) step comprises a gradual increase in temperature at a rate of 2°C to 4°C per minute, from an ambient temperature to a maximum temperature between 950°C and 1,010°C, maintaining the maximum temperature for between forty-five minutes and three hours, and a gradual decrease in temperature at a rate of 2°C to 4°C per minute back to ambient temperature. Said steps, and in particular the sintering step, make it possible to obtain a material that is particularly well suited for the manufacture of an antenna intended for frequencies below one gigahertz.
