This tire state monitoring device comprises: a plurality of systems of receivers configured so as to receive signals from each of a plurality of transmitters; and a control unit configured to control the receivers. The control unit is configured to individually control the receivers of the plurality of systems so as to be in a reception standby state in which it it possible to receive a signal from each of the plurality of transmitters. The control unit is also configured to control the receivers of a second system so as to be in the reception standby state when the receivers of a first system among the plurality of systems of receivers are controlled so as to be in the reception standby state while the receivers of a second system separate from the receivers of the first system are not controlled so as to be in the reception standby state and it is not possible for the receivers of the first system to receive a signal from at least one of the plurality of transmitters.
