L'invention concerne un système pour traiter un fluide biologique tel que le sang ou un composant du sang par élimination sélective d'une substance cible, comprenant une poche de traitement (2) munie d'au moins un orifice d'entrée (3) et d'au moins un orifice de sortie (4), ladite poche de traitement contenant un ensemble de particules (5) présentant une affinité pour la substance cible, ledit ensemble comprenant des petites particules ayant une taille inférieure à 15 pm, ledit système comprenant en outre un moyen barrière (6) composé d'au moins une membrane poreuse réalisée dans un matériau hydrophile, les pores de ladite membrane étant calibrés à une taille apte à empêcher le passage desdites petites particules, à savoir inférieure à 3 pm.

The invention relates to a system for treating a biological fluid such as blood or a blood component, by selective removal of a target substance, comprising a treatment bag (2) provided with at least one inlet opening (3) and at least one outlet opening (4), the treatment bag containing an assembly of particles (5) having an affinity for the target substance, the assembly comprising small particles having a size less than 15 pm, the system further comprising a barrier means (6) formed of at least one porous membrane made of a hydrophilic material, the pores of the membrane being calibrated at a size capable of preventing the passage of the small particles, namely less than 3 pm.
