摘要：
The present invention relates to the field of communications device housings, namely housings for the support and protection of hand¬ held electronic devices having data input features and video screens. In particular, the present invention relates to housings for communications devices such as smartphones, for example, which housings protect the communications devices and can be easily cleaned. The housing consists of two interacting housing parts to protect a smartphone therein, wherein the first housing part comprises sliding channels (35) into which tabs (34) of the second housings slide when the two housings are slit together to be closed. The end of the sliding channels (35) comprise a detent member (36) into which the tabs (34) engage when the housing is closed. A locking mechanism (29) is provided which fixes the both housing parts when closed.
