The present invention discloses a shovel in which a technology is provided which can suitably adjust a flow rate of a hydraulic pump in a composite operation in which a preliminary attachment and another element to be driven are simultaneously operated. A shovel according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a lower traveling body 1; an upper rotating body 3 rotatably mounted on the lower traveling body 1; a boom 4 mounted on the upper rotating body 3; an arm 5 mounted on the tip of the boom 4; a preliminary attachment (e.g., a breaker 90, a crusher 92) mounted of the tip of the arm 5; a main pump 14 which supplies a hydraulic oil to the preliminary attachment and another hydraulic actuator (e.g., a boom cylinder or an arm cylinder 8); and a controller 30, wherein the controller 30 performs setting pertaining to a flow rate of the main pump 14 in a composite operation in which the preliminary attachment and the other hydraulic actuator are simultaneously operated.
