摘要：
A method of introducing color to a polymer stream (510) during the manufacturing of bulked continuous carpet filament comprises: adding a colorant (204, 520) to a polymer stream (510) downstream of a primary extruder (202, 208); changing a color probe (1304) within a color injection port (1510) while maintaining the flow of the polymer stream (510) at a polymer stream (510) pressure; using one or more static mixing assemblies (208A, 208D, 208) for the polymer stream (510) to substantially uniformly mix the polymer stream (510) and its colorant (204, 520); and spinning the polymer stream (510) with its substantially uniformly mixed colorant (204, 520) into BCF using a spinning machine.
