[Problem] To provide a means for increasing cycle durability in a manufacturing method of a battery that uses an electrode containing an electrolyte. [Solution] This battery manufacturing method involves: a single cell forming step (S20) for forming a single cell 20 which comprises a positive electrode, obtained by forming an electrolyte-containing positive electrode active material layer on a positive electrode current collector, and a negative electrode, obtained by forming an electrolyte-containing negative electrode active material layer on a negative electrode current collector, said positive electrode and negative electrode laminated with a separator interposed therebetween, with a sealing unit 50 arranged on the outer periphery; a sealing step (S30) for heat-sealing the sealing unit arranged on the outer periphery of the single cell; and a cooling step (S40) for cooling the outer periphery of the single cell with a cooling medium after the sealing step.
