In an exemplary embodiment, an article (100) of clothing (100, 200) may be treated with heat applied transfers which may stiffen the clothing (100, 200) in particular areas in order to provide support, contouring, and lift; eligible clothing (100, 200) may include, for example, jeans, which may be enhanced in order to provide a more pronounced and flattering rear portion for the user. Such a method (1400) and system may be combined with other methods and systems, for example a method (1400) and system for creating a clothing (100, 200) with enhanced durability using a heat transfer (102, 104, 306, 308, 406, 408), in order to achieve a resulting article (100, 200) that may have desirable properties, such as breathability, flexibility, stiffness, or durability, in addition to its ability to retain a particular shape more readily.
