Provided is a connector configured such that a plug body and a socket body are rotated relatively to each other about a center axis to the normal position just by plugging in a plug to a socket, and such that the entire outer diameter is reduced. An outward projection 9 is provided to a part of the outer peripheral surface of the tip of an insertion part 7 in the plug body 4. A plurality of inward protruded ridges 17 directed in an axial direction so as to form grooves 16 through which the projection 9 can be inserted, are provided to the inner surface of a cylindrical part 8 of the socket body 6. An inclined cam surface 18 with which the projection 9 slides into contact and which guides the plug body 4 to the normal position, is provided closer to a base end part than the protruded ridges 17 in the inner surface of the cylindrical part 8.
