The invention relates to an air-conditioning container (1) comprising: an air-conditioning chamber (3) surrounded by a chamber housing (2) of the air-conditioning container (1); and an air temperature control device (5) which, at least in sections, projects into an air duct (4) extending outside the air-conditioning chamber (3), and around at least sections of which or over at least sections of which an air stream flows during a cooling or heating operation. During the cooling or heating operation, an exhaust air duct portion (10) of the air duct (4) leads from the air-conditioning chamber (3) to the air temperature control device (5) and an intake air duct portion (12) of the air duct (4) leads from the air temperature control device (5) back into the air-conditioning chamber (3) so that, during the cooling or heating operation, air can be guided out of the air-conditioning chamber (3), cooled or heated by the air temperature control device (5), and then conducted back into the air-conditioning chamber (3). A valve device (8) is arranged in the air duct (4). The air duct (4) can be closed by the valve device (8) in a valve duct region (9) of the exhaust air duct portion (10) and/or in a valve duct region (11) of the intake air duct portion (12) so that it is possible to avoid air flow across the air temperature control device (5).
