The present invention relates to a container closure assembly for a container. The container has a longitudinal axis, an opening and an upper peripheral portion extending about the opening and the longitudinal axis thereof. The assembly includes a closure member shaped to extend over the opening of the container. The closure member includes a channel shaped to receive the upper peripheral portion of the container. The assembly includes a coupling member. The coupling member includes a grippable portion spaced-apart below the closure member and a coupling portion coupled to and extending upwards from the grippable portion. The coupling portion is shaped to selectively couple to the closure member so as to bias the upper peripheral portion of the container towards the channel. The coupling portion includes an inner surface that extends parallel with the longitudinal axis of the container.
