The invention relates to a vehicle (10), having: at least three wheels (12-1, 12-2, 16-1, 16-2); electrical drive units (14-1, 14-2); electrical steering units (18-1, 18-2); an on-board electrical system (30) having energy storage units (32-1, 32-2) for electrically supplying the drive device (14) and the steering device (18); and a control device (40, 41), which is designed to control the drive device (14) and the steering device (18), and is further designed to monitor the proper functionality of the energy storage units (32-1, 32-2), the drive units (14-1, 14-2) and the steering units (18-1, 18-2) and, in the event of a malfunction of one of the energy storage units (32-1, 32-2), to disconnect said energy storage unit from the on-board system (30), in the event of a malfunction of one of the drive units (14-1, 14-2), to disconnect said drive unit from the on-board system (30), and in the event of a malfunction of one of the steering units (18-1, 18-2), to disconnect said steering unit from the on-board system (30). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for controlling drive and steering devices (14, 18) in such a vehicle (10).
