This pressed powder molded body manufacturing method comprises: a filling step in which a raw material powder containing iron base particles is filled into a cavity made by a lower punch and a die which can move relative to each other; a pressurization step in which the raw material powder within the cavity is pressurized by the lower punch and an upper punch that is disposed opposite the lower punch so as to form a pressed powder molded body; and an extraction step in which the pressed powder molded body is extracted from the inside of the cavity by relative movement between the pressed powder molded body and the die. The extraction step is carried out by applying vibration to the pressed powder molded body during at least a fixed period from immediately before the start until the end of the relative movement, and the application of vibration is carried out with the vibration amplitude of the lower punch set to 3.6 μm or more.
