Disclosed are a dishwasher washing pump and a dishwasher. The dishwasher comprises a spray arm. The washing pump comprises a pump housing (2) having an inner cavity, wherein openings (6, 7) are provided on the pump housing (2) to communicate with the spray arm; flow guide portions (1, 5) are arranged inside the inner cavity of the pump housing (2); some of the structures of the flow guide portions (1, 5) are located in projections of the openings (6, 7) in the inner cavity (3); and the flow guide portions (1, 5) are used for guiding a water flow inside the pump housing (2) to change a movement direction so as to break up a vortex and reduce a local pressure loss of the water flow, thereby eliminating an energy loss caused by a "dead water zone" or "vortex zone" in the washing pump, and improving the working efficiency of the washing pump.
