The invention relates to a conveyor and compressor element (2) for use in a rotatable hollow shaft (4) and for conveying a fluid guided on an inner wall of the hollow shaft (4) in a conveying direction. The aim of the invention is to achieve lower installation space requirement and better conveying of the fluid. This aim is achieved in that the conveyor and compressor element (2) has an axial conveyor and compressor device (8) for the fluid having a first flow channel (10) for a purified gas, the axial conveyor and compressor device (8) being formed radially around the first flow channel (10), and/or a radial conveyor and compressor device (14) for the fluid having a second flow channel (36) for a gas, the radial conveyor and compressor device being formed radially around the second flow channel (36). The invention further relates to a hollow shaft, to a combustion engine, and to a method for purifying blowby gases.
