There is proposed a neck support (20) for use with a bed pillow (10) having an edge region (16). The support (20) comprises an elongate spine and a pair of spaced-apart wings. The wings extend laterally outwardly from the spine in spaced-apart relation to one another so as to define a recess therebetween, the recess having a tapered profile in transverse cross-section which narrows towards a vertex (49) of the recess adjacent the spine, and thus being configured to receive and engage the edge region (16) of a said pillow (10). In some embodiments, in transverse cross-section the thickness of said spine in the region of said vertex (49) is equal to or less than the maximum thickness of at least one of said wings. In some embodiments the pair of spaced-apart wings includes a major wing and a minor wing, the major wing extending further outwardly from said spine than the minor wing and being configured to cover and engage at least a majority of one of said opposed pillow surfaces when the edge region of the pillow (10) is received and engaged in said recess.
