A display device (2) for posting a thin, flexible sheet (4) of printed matter comprises a base part (21) and a front part (22). The front part (22) is pivotable relative to the base part (21) between an open position, wherein the sheet (4) may be inserted into or removed from the display device, and a closed position, wherein the sheet (4) is clamped between the front part (22) and the base part (21). The base part (21) presents a base part clamping surface (214), which extends at an angle (a) of more than 45°, preferably more than 80° or about 90°, relative to a display plane. The front part (22) presents a corresponding front part clamping surface (226), which is adapted to provide a clamping force in a direction that is normal to the base part clamping surface (214).
