The fixing arrangement (1) for snap-fitting screen panel (18) has insert members (3) fixed on base plate (2) in vertical orientation, corresponding bore holes (17) on screen panel (18) and base plate (2). The panel (18) is snap- or press-fitted to base plate (2) whereby the male insert members (3) exactly fit the corresponding bore holes (17). The insert members (3) have following contour profile geometries: - first elliptical contoured portion (4); - recessed groove (5) in between the said first (4) and second (6) contoured portions; - second elliptical portion (6); - neck (7) contiguous with second elliptical portion (6); - straight cylindrical surface (8) smaller in diameter than the major diameter of the first and second elliptical portions (4, 6); - outer circular ring portion (9); and - lower most cylindrical portion (10). The female bore holes (17) have internal contour profile geometries matching with external profile of inserts.
