An emergency shut-off valve includes a valve body defining an inlet, an outlet, a valve port between the inlet and the outlet, and an aperture. A valve assembly is positioned partially within the valve body and extends through the aperture. An actuator assembly is operatively coupled to the valve assembly to move the valve assembly between an open position and a closed position and includes a poppet (205) and a rotatable shaft (230). The poppet is disposed within the valve body and is moveable between an open position that allows the flow of fluid through the valve body and a closed position that prevents the flow of fluid through the valve body. The shaft is coupled to the poppet and has a retaining member (260) positioned within a slot (224) in an arm (220) of the poppet to prevent the poppet from being removed from the shaft.
