A box-shaped fruit container (1) made of plastic, comprising raised edges and a base section (2). The base section features a profile comprising ridges (3) that run parallel to each other from one raised edge to the other raised edge and transverse to the raised edges. The ridges (3) feature a convex end. There are concave intermediate elements (4) between the ridges. The height (H) of the ridges (3) is at least 2.5 mm and the distance at which the ridges repeat is between 10 and 24 mm. Where the shape of the profile changes from concave to convex, the contact surface (T) of the profile forms an angle (a) of between 10 and 70 degrees to the surface of the base section.
