A machine (10) for inflating and sealing an inflatable web, the web including opposing longitudinal edges and a pair of sheets sealed together by transverse seals that form a series of inflatable containers. The machine (10) generally includes a support structure (12), a spool (18) for supporting a roll of the inflatable web, a web conveyance system (20), an inflation system (22) to inflate the containers, and a sealing device (24) for sealing closed the openings of the containers.
