An apparatus (100) for fabricating containers comprising a plurality of mold segments (104A, 104B, 104C) defining a mold cavity (106) substantially in the form of a container and accommodating a substantially tubular preform (107) having a preform cavity (108) in communication with an open end (109); an injection head (110) establishing fluid communication with said preform (107); an injection cylinder (113) in fluid communication with said injection head (110) and configured to inject a volume of liquid (119) into said preform (107); and a closure cylinder (125) configured to exert a force on at least one of said mold segments (104A, 104B, 104C) to maintain them in a closed disposition; and characterized in that it further comprises a motor cylinder (124) driving said injection cylinder (113) and being itself concurrently driven with said closure cylinder (125) by a single pressure source (122).
