The steam engine with rotating piston serving for conversion of steam energy to mechanical energy, comprising of the box (2) with the internal profile of shortened epitrochoid shape, wherein at least one piston (4) and at least one balancing and timing member (5) are provided on the shaft (3). Cooling and lubricating circuit (8) provided in the box (2) or also in the part outside of it, leads into the intake duct (6) through the injector (61), while cooling and lubricating medium, identical to the propelling medium, flows through this circuit (8).
