The invention relates to an exercise device comprising at least one elongate part whose length can be adjusted. At least one wind-up device is fixed to an object by means of fastening means and has a shaft for winding and unwinding the elongate part, a first end of said elongate part being fastened to the shaft. The exercise device further comprises a locking device for releasably immobilizing the elongate part in various positions relative to the wind-up device.
