Water-power ram-pressure machine (1) having at least one rotor (3) which has a hub (4) and blades (5) connected thereto, and which, during operation defines a water level height (d) as the difference between a high-water level (8) and a low-water level (9), having an electrical motor/generator machine (10) which is coupled to the rotor (3), and having a closed-loop control device (11) for closed-loop control of the high-water level (8), which closed-loop control device (11) is connected to the motor/generator machine (10), in order to provide closed-loop control for the rotation speed (n1) of the rotor (3), in order to maintain a predetermined high-water level (8), by closed-loop control of the braking torque of the motor/generator machine (10).
