A fastener (10, 100, 200) is disclosed. The fastener (10, 100, 200) includes a housing (12, 202), wherein the housing (12, 202) forms a housing cavity (28, 210), wherein the housing cavity (28, 210) includes at least one recess (32, 214a, 214b); a cage (16, 206) at least partially disposed in said housing cavity (28, 210), wherein an outer surface (246) of the cage (16, 206) is spaced apart from an inner surface (212) of the housing (12, 202) that forms the housing cavity (28, 210), wherein the cage (16, 206) defines a cage cavity (34, 216), and a plurality of passages (38, 220,220a, 220b) aligned with said at least one recess (32, 214, 214a, 214b); a plurality of retaining members (14, 204, 204a, 204b) at least partially retained within said plurality of passages (38, 220, 220a, 220b); and a plunger (18, 208) at least partially disposed in said cage cavity (34, 216), wherein said plunger (18, 2080) is at least partially movable within said cage cavity (34, 216) between a first position to cause said one or more retaining members (14, 204, 204a, 204b) to be displaced radially outwardly thereby mechanically coupling said housing (12, 202) to said cage (16, 206), and a second position to allow said one or more retaining members (14, 204, 204a, 204b) to be displaced radially inwardly thereby allowing said housing (12, 202) to be uncoupled from said cage (16, 206).
