A conversion bracket (20, 60) for mounting a pegboard display hook (10, 50) on an alternate display structure includes a first mounting plate (22, 62) and a second mounting plate (24, 64) movabiy coupled to the first mounting plate to permit the conversion bracket to be guided over and positioned on the afternate display structure. The first mounting plate has at least one first mounting opening (23, 63) and the second mounting plate has at least one second mounting opening (25, 65) for receiving the mounting structure of the display hook. Each of the first mounting plate and the second mounting plate defines at least one cavity (29, 69, 68\ 28, 68) configured to receive a portion of the alternate display structure. The first mounting plate may include a pair of first mounting plates (62, 62') that are joined together by an integral arm extending therebetween or independently rotatable.
