The invention relates to an acoustic measuring method for the determination of the physical characteristics of a porous elastic material (8), by broadcasting an acoustic wave generated by parametric effect towards the porous elastic material and detecting the first and second signals representative of the acoustic wave after interaction with the porous elastic material, by means of a single microphone (6). The physical characteristic can hence be determined from the first and second signals.
