A combination lock (20) and locking pin (38) is provided which includes indexed tumblers (54) operable in any sequence or simultaneously to enter a combination, a channel (40) to protect the locking pin (38), and a locking pin (38) with nested locking cylinders (126) or a reduced or conical shaped nose to fit different sized latch plates or the area behind a gun trigger.
