The invention relates to a selective dismutation process of toluene and to a dismutation and transalkylation process of toluene and aromatic hydrocarbons of C9 and 9C+, which solve the problems in the prior art, such as large circulation in aromatics disposal, high energy consumption and critical requirement of raw materials, etc. In this invention, toluene is selectively dismutated to produce the mixed xylene with high concentration of p-xylene, toluene and aromatic hydrocarbons of C9 and C9+ are dismutated and transalkylated to obtain benzene and mixed xylene in thermodynamic equilibrium, by which the problems mentioned above can be overcame. These processes can be carried out in commercial scale.
