A lubricant composition for ball joints which shows excellent lubricity in ball joints not only at ordinary temperature but at from high temperatures to low temperatures and has no fear of flowing out from the ball joints at high temperatures; and a ball joint containing the composition enclosed therein. The lubricant composition comprises a base oil comprising a synthetic hydrocarbon oil, a thickener, and a fatty acid salt of a compound represented by the formula (1): R 1 −NH−R 2 −NH 2 (1) wherein R 1 is a C 1−24 hydrocarbon group and R 2 is C 2−4 alkylene.
