The invention relates to a pressure medium storage device that comprises a housing (1). The inner chamber of said housing is divided into two chambers (3, 4) by means of a medium separating element (2). The first chamber (3) is filled with a gas and the second chamber (4) is filled with a liquid. A sensor device (20) for detecting the movement of the medium separating element (2) is provided. The aim of the invention is to reduce the space required for assembling the pressure medium storage device. According to the invention, the sensor device (20) is arranged in the chamber (3) that is defined by the medium separating element (2) in the housing (1) and at least partially forms a body which determines the pressure-volume characteristics of the pressure medium storage device.
